|
Wedbush Securities is a full-service investment bank and brokerage firm. The selected candidate will report directly to the President and CEO; will be the firm's financial operations principal and have leadership responsibility for the firm's financial and accounting functions. This position is located in the firm's corporate headquarters in the downtown Los Angeles financial district. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Manage all accounting and financial reporting activity;
- Oversee staffing and development for all reporting departments;
- Act as principal FINOPs contact including annual examinations;
- Manage securities lending and processing activity;
- Manage firm's legal department and activity;
- Manage internal controls;
- Responsible for risk management and insurance coverage;
- Maintain and oversee firm's business continuity plan and annual test;
- Manage firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program and policies.

Experience and Skills
|
|
This CFO position is a key leadership position that requires an individual who has broad and deep experience within the accounting and finance function of an investment bank and brokerage firm. Requirements include: - 10 years of experience or more within the finance/accounting function of a multi-state, multi-location investment bank and brokerage firm; at least 5 years of experience at the CFO level and as firm's FINOPs principal;
- BA/BS in Business, Economics, Accounting;
- CPA required;
- MBA desirable;
- FINRA Series 27 required.
